Incredible India

Incredible India, or at least that's how it is being promoted on the televisions and newspapers these days ,started it's journey on the early hours of the 15th of August, 1947, when it was freed from the Imperial rule of East India Company a.k.a. United Kingdom. Slowly, but steadily, it recovered itself from the past troubles and problems, and kept itself calm during the raging storm (World War II), and become known as the world's largest democracy!

India has made some serious efforts towards progress in the last 63 years. From a nation which had only bare minimum to support its internal needs, it became a nation which gives a continuous competition in the Global Market. A lot of technological and infrastructural developments have taken place in the past, and are still taking place. The face of India is getting better day by day.

Indian standards of education have stood upright in the world. Every year, thousands of undergraduates make their way to renowned universities of the world, along with thousands of graduates who get job offers from Multi National firms around the globe.
Education in India in primary and secondary schools is provided under the following boards-ICSE, CBSE, ISC, IB, and state boards. IITs and IIMs are the two most renowned institutes for undergraduate and post graduate courses respectively.

India nurtures democratic thoughts in its mind, and believe in the equal participation of all beings. Since1950, the year when the Indian constitution came into existence, we have followed a democratic form of government, provided reservations to the backward classes to promote their interest in the governmental activities and uphold the ideologies of the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

After every 5 year, Union and state elections take place in India, not necessarily together. The area to be contested in election is divided into smaller constituencies called districts, and a representative is elected from each of these districts. After the elections have ended, the representatives of the various districts come together, and form a parliament. An electoral competition takes place in the parliament, and the one who gets the most support of the parliament heads the government (becomes the Prime Minister) and his party (individuals following the same ideologies) becomes known as the ruling party. The other section of the parliament (excluding the ruling party) becomes the opposition party, and keeps track on the activities of the ruling party, and when it notices some flaws in the working of the government, it reports it in the parliament, and asks for corrections.

India's natural beauty, though it has decreased through the decades due to the industrial developments and the negligence of the inhabitants towards green environment, is still picturesque enough to hold the glances of the passer-by. From its head to its toe, India is gifted with natural beauty of no equivalent. The Himalayas at the top, the huge coastline on either sides, a desert to its northwestern boundary, a dense and tropical forest in the southern part of India (Andra Pradesh) and Sundarban (the world's only reserve of one horn rhinoceros) on the eastern side.

India has served as the anvil upon which some of the world's religion have been forged. Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Sikhism are some of the religions that trace its root back from India. These religions still flourish in India, hence, making it a land of diversity.

This diverse population has posed a stiff challenged to the smooth running of the democratic government. The continuous strife between the Hindu and the Muslim population had first, dissected the country into two parts ( India and Pakistan ), and later created a situation through which no democratic government could effectively be ruled. India's huge population has also posed some serious threats to  its present economical conditions. The very high rate of illiteracy among the Indian population unable it to transform its population liability into its population asset.Corruption which has crept from unknown sources has also posed some deadly problems to the Indian government.

But, as I am sure, India will surpass this state as it has done before, and will continue its journey with power and enthusiasm.

Understanding this Universe.

"We are just a speck in this Universe", a fact which you are all well-versed with, but did you know that the recent breakthroughs in Noetic science, and the evidences of the Law of Attraction, increase our range of activities in the Universe. From the inhabitants of a planet (Earth) that revolves around a very tiny star (Sun), we have become individuals who control the universe by our thoughts.

"Thoughts are things"

Recent breakthroughs in Noetic Science has proved that our thoughts are physical quantities, that is that they have a weight, though very negligible, but it is nevertheless present there. This means that our thoughts exert a force of gravity on its surrounding. But, the real force it exerts is million times powerful that the force it exerts in the form of gravity.

Law of Attraction

The Basic idea behind this philosophy is that we attract what we think about. ( "Your mind is a powerful magnet which attracts things it thinks about " )

You can find a lot of information about the law of attraction on the Internet, so I would not try to explain it to you with details.

Our mind is a powerful magnet, it attracts things that it thinks about. Your thoughts are a physical thing, they exert a force which is natural and proportional to the intensity of the thoughts.

You have the power to create your own future, and to mend your own destiny !!!

All the best to all those you are thinking of exploiting the power of this law,

The True Beauty

What is the nature of True Beauty? Are we biased towards Beauty? What is the difference between True Beauty and looking pretty? Is a good soul an essential of True Beauty?

These are some of the questions that I have been asking myself during my Introspection Hour.

And these are some of the solutions that I found for the questions.

1.                  True Beauty is something that pleases anyone who perceives it. True Beauty is exuded not only in the visual realm as in looking pretty or wearing a good dress, but also in the auditory realm as in possessing a good intelligible voice, in kinesthetic realm as in defined by the smoothness of skin, and the softness of hand (you may have different criteria of your own), and in olfactory realm as in wearing a good perfume or so.
2.                   Of course, we are. In the present world, we are more biased towards Visual beauty, than any other forms of beauty (Remember, beauty is a combination of Kinesthetic, auditory, and olfactory factors). Beauty is a kind of like a credit to anyone who possess it. And why shouldn't it be? The person who possesses beauty is pleasing the perceiver with it, and thus, in return the perceiver bestows favors on the person. It isn't unfair, is it?
3.                   Just as I mentioned in the above paragraph that True Beauty is the combination of several beauty at the same time. Looking pretty which is equivalent to visual beauty is just a part of True beauty.
4.                   Good soul is not the essential of True beauty. (Shocked!!! Read the whole paragraph to get the total meaning of the sentence). A soul is a combination of beliefs, ideologies, and philosophies. A good soul, thus, is something that is made up of good beliefs, ideologies, and good philosophies. But, as time has again and again taught us that belief, ideology, and philosophy are not physical things, and they change with time and perception. So, what is considered good at some time might not be considered the same after some time, or if looked at it from a different frame of reference. True beauty is all about having an inquisitive desire to know what is good at the current situation and frame of reference and to base all your actions on the new found definition of good.

This was my interpretation of True Beauty. If you have any doubts, or question, please leave them in the comment box just below the article.

Thank you for being with me,

As time has passed

We all can witness the degrading of Earth, not only in its physical state, but also in its emotional and social states. Not only are we witnessing giant puffs of smoke released into the atmosphere, but we are also witnessing the huge rifts of differences built up in the society. Not only are our physical resources like coal and petroleum getting depleted, but also are our inner wealth of kindness and mercy. Human's continued existence on Earth is not possible without a proper environment- fresh air, clean water, and safe food, similar to what we all know, but, human's continued existence is equally impossible without a proper environment, environment in this case means- Humanity, Sense of belonging as one, Honesty, Mercy , Kindness, etc. to name a few.

As time is proceeding forward, and day, weeks, months, years, and decades are passing by, we may be becoming technologically advanced , discarding our previous technologies, and building new ( I am sure, this is good ), but we are, at the same time, proceeding backward in the process of retaining our moral values. Human values are getting lost in the sands of time, and our only hope of discovering them is by looking back at the scriptures, paintings, etc, that claim to effectively capture past.

As time has passed, we have surely lost the meaning of the word 'LIFE'. Life nowadays is all about achieving success, and no longer about a medium to find happiness. Man and Woman in this era live in order to succeed, and not to find happiness or joy. The teaching of our holy scriptures and ancient books of finding happiness in our daily life, of being in accordance with the Law of Attraction , and to live a life of compassion and high moral values, is scarcely applied.

As time has passed, several of our skills that were considered inane and natural have been replaced by more specific and goal oriented skills. An example to illustrate my above statement is- In ancient times, people did varied tasks that gave them a title of an all-rounder. Ancient Scholars were painters, writers, scientists, inventors, composers, etc, and all the qualities in one. Modern Scholars are more specific, and goal oriented. Modern Scholars may know more than the Ancient Scholars in a particular field, but there overall knowledge remains very small in front of the Ancient Scholars. Modern Scientists are ignorant to music composition, painting, writing ( some say, scientific publications are the dullest and the worst form of publications ), etc.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the modern era has polluted our minds with thoughts of selfishness, thoughts of being successful , and thoughts of greediness. A change, as I believe, can only be brought about, not by talking about it on the National Television, but by working towards it on our personal levels.

In this beautiful world

I was walking back from school, and instead of choosing the stony dull roads, I chose to walk through the long ground that lay beside it. I put my first step on the curb, and a feeling of happiness, ecstasy and joy filled my mind. The winter sun shone above me, and the soft breeze rasped passed my face. Squirrels raced across the curb, and danced as they did so. Tiny birds overhead over were blazing their tiny trumpets, and the trees sprawled across my left side, obstructing any view of outer world on my left hand side.

I had only walked a little distance when a strange, yet very beautiful sight struck me. I stood there staring at it for a few seconds.

On the upward side of the wall, a squirrel and a sparrow were dining on a feast of rice and bread. The squirrel used its tiny hand to pick up grains of rice, and then brought it close to its mouth and started pecking at it. I turned my sight to its head, and then to it's tail, and could stop myself, but marvel at the beauty of the creature.

I continued my walk, feeling a lot pleased with myself for choosing to take a walk in the park. I walked for a couple of minutes, and then stepped out of the park, my mind still thinking with the beauty of the park.

A little time later, I was surprised as i realized that ....

If two creatures belonging to different species, speaking in different speech tones, and worshiping different forms of god ( each visualizing god in its own figure ), could live in harmony , then why can't human, belonging to the same species, using the same speech tone, and visualizing god in the same form live together !!!

The realization, i guess, has sown seeds in me of harmony, compassion and the feeling of belonging together.
